How our fabrics help reduce the carbon footprint of contract projects

When materials speak the same language as the environment, design ceases to be just aesthetics and becomes a commitment. At Exit Fabrics we are clear: reducing the carbon footprint is not a trend, it is our way of doing things. One that starts at the origin of each yarn, runs through our hands and reaches the contract furniture that dresses hotels, restaurants, offices or public spaces.

Slow Fabrics: conscious textile philosophy

The secret? We call itSlow Fabrics”.  A textile philosophy that prioritises conscious processes, local know-how and respect for materials. At Exit Fabrics we produce 100% of our fabrics locally, using recycled fibres and natural fabrics from suppliers close to our headquarters in Terrassa, a city with more than 150 years of textile tradition.

This proximity allows us to drastically reduce the emissions associated with transport and guarantee an ethical, traceable production that complies with the most demanding international standards and certifications, such as OEKO-TEX® or GRS (Global Recycled Standard).

A new mindset in design: creating with purpose

Our contract fabrics are designed with durability, aesthetics and sustainability in mind. We know that every metre of upholstery counts. That’s why we offer fabric customisation solutions that adapt to the needs of each project, avoiding waste and extending the product’s life cycle.

Personalising contract upholstery is a creative option, but it is also an environmentally responsible strategy.

Fabrics that reduce carbon footprint

The facts are clear: construction and interior design generate around 40% of global CO₂ emissions. In the face of this, choosing upholstery fabrics with a low environmental impact can make a big difference. Architects and interior designers have the power in their hands to create beautiful, functional and regenerative spaces.

We are here to accompany them on that journey, providing textiles that respect the earth from which they are born and the future towards which we want to walk.

Responsible design without sacrificing beauty

Interior design can no longer be oblivious to climate urgency. But neither does it have to renounce beauty or innovation. The customisation of upholstery that we offer at Exit Fabrics allows professionals in the sector to explore new aesthetics, textures and sensations, without neglecting respect for the planet.

Our contract fabrics – certified, durable, sustainable and with a low carbon footprint – are our contribution to a design that wants to last, that thinks about tomorrow and that understands that every fibre counts.
