Our commitment to the planet: recycled fabrics and environmental care
The natural environment is a source of inspiration for the colors, fabrics and textures with which we work. We want this to last and continue to surprise us with changing tones, to keep providing us with ideas and materials to reflect them in fabrics. This is why one of our basic principles is respect for nature and our commitment to caring for the environment.
We have carried out different actions with which we contribute our grain of sand to take care of the planet. We are pioneers in the manufacture of recyclable upholstery, made with polyolefinic material. We are also an OEKO-TEX certified company.
At Exit Fabrics we carry environmental awareness in our DNA, and we try to make this noticeable in our products, from the beginning of their production to the end of their life cycle.
Caring for the environment, part of our DNA
For us, the fundamental thing is that our fabrics are of high quality, but we believe that this is not incompatible with being respectful with the environment. In this sense, we have translated this awareness into the production of recyclable fabrics and fabrics made from recycled materials.
We are proud to always offer the quality that characterizes us as textile manufacturers in Barcelona, with an eye on our planet. We offer products with recycled yarns according to the GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certification.
This certificate is voluntary and sets requirements for third-party certification regarding recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, as well as chemical restrictions.
OEKO-TEX certified company
In our manufacturing process for recycled fabrics or recyclable upholstery, we have a certificate that guarantees that our yarns and dyes meet the environmental standards accepted worldwide.
We are part of an international union of OEKO-TEX certified companies. This ensures that our clients know that the production of our fabrics does not include chemicals that are harmful to the environment. They are fabrics known to be chemically safe.
We are aware that our planet needs more attention and sensitivity from all of us, and therefore, from our possibilities, we try to take care of it as much as possible. In addition to our initiatives for achieving recycled fabrics or recycled upholstery, and being part of the OEKO-TEX certified companies, we have developed the “Slow Fabrics” concept. In this way, we value local producers and limit the carbon footprint generated by material transport.
