A commitment to recycled and recyclable fabrics

At Exit Fabrics, a textile factory in Spain, environmental awareness is in our DNA, that’s right. We promote and bet on 100% recyclable textiles. We launched an Active recycling cycle, to promote de remains of 100% recyclable polyolefin (polypropylene) textile materials in our costumers. In fact, we have a philosophy of life, values and a company culture focused on caring for the environmental, and that we welcome under the name “Slow Fabrics”. We value the local product,  in addition to respecting the environment, which is so important to us 

It is essential to respect the nature that so much offers us in order to thrive in our production and design of fabrics. We are in favour of taking more time to achieve quality production adapted to the rhythm of the nature.   

We are in Terrasa (province of Barcelona), city well known for its industrial textile history. As we said, we bet on the proximity product, so we have local suppliers so that our customers can buy fabrics in Barcelona eliminating the carbon footprint caused by transport from places thousands of kilometres far away.

We explain you more about how we work: To make the fabrics at Exit Fabrics, fabric manufacturers in Barcelona, we use yarns and dyes from suppliers who are our neighbours, since they can offer us raw materials and material necessary for the manufacture of our customers fabrics, respecting the environment.   

We are not only aware of the environment in the obtaining of materials, but also in the production of recyclable textiles. Through the “Active Recycling Cycle” we offer the possibility to recycle polyolefin textile materials, through a simple process in which our customers get the proper guarantee that the fabric has been recycled in a correct way. So, we bet on a sustainable product, and what is fantastic, that can be recyclable. We like to know that recyclable materials can be reused.   

Apart from betting on the producers in the area, to avoid the carbon footprint that transport entails, we also use traditional methods in the production of raw materials, limiting chemicals, non-renewable energies, and fossil fuels to help reduce the greenhouse effect. It is also important for Exit Fabrics, textile factory, to respect the rights of workers and producers, in addition to boost local work.

Among the 100% recyclable fabrics, we highlight the following: 

• Dekora: Probably the most popular, versatile, and functional collection of Exit Fabrics for its 105 colours. In addition to being competitive at the price level it is recyclable and suitable for outdoor use.  Polypropylene fabric in plain and melange colours creating natural and elegant textures. In addition, it provides and inherent resistance to dirt and bad odour.
• One: A classic among the furniture collections that has been expanding its colour range due its success.   One is a flat melange that provides a feeling of comfort, while offering great resistance to dirt both in indoors and outdoors. In addition, is a recyclable fabric thus contributing to a second life of the product. It allows to coordinate with colour ranges Two and Four.   
• Two: One of the collections most used by our customers as it fits in all kinds of applications: furniture, coatings, and decoration of all kinds. Fabric of mat with  medium weft of melange, valid for indoor and outdoor.  Its range allows you to combine with its sister families One and Four.   
• Four: Large weft melange mat fabric that can be coordinated with the sister collections One and Two. At first glance it looks like a handmade fabric, although its polypropylene composition gives it great strength. Its style allows it to adapt to all types of furniture and decoration, both modern and rustic inside and outside.  
• Bali: Polypropylene crepe fabric with marked relief. With an elegant and bright appearance, it is a star collection that is suitable for multiple applications in the office sector.
